Never Happier

This may seem odd to some.. . But... I can not be happier to be surrounded by a church family that encourages others to trust in the Lord and follow His word. Helping each other grow is a very good thing. Every day I am proud the be able to go day to day and know I am a believer and even though hard times are going to come one day. With that I also know I have the best leader in the world and The Lord God. I also have friends and family to help me grow in the faith and that knowing is God is in control.

John 15:13 NIV version

13.Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Remember we can say all the right things, quote scripture and it does not mean a thing if our daily actions prove the opposite of what we  speak. There are men and women on daily basis who help others in potential dangerous situations.

I personally try to be a laid back person who attempts to mind my own business. I have never had to put my life in danger for another. I have got in to things I could have been hurt keeping another from being hurt.  I do not compare anyone to Christ. I however do think there are men and women who on a daily basis put there life in danger for another. It speaks volumes for there character.

What matters

When it comes to the walk with God It does matter what brand of clothes you wear, what language they speak, how they chose to display their art or any other outward expression is displayed.

Goes back to the thought you dont judge a book by its cover. It is not our place as CHRISTians to judge others. That said we can help them see things that are not pleasing to GOD. God teaches is followers(children) through lessons in life much as parents teach and correct the children.

I humble suggest we start basing what a person is about not on the exterior the project to the world, but instead get to know them enough that you can base your decision on who they are inside not just what they look like. What sports they play or what they drive. When we pass on we dont get to take clothes, vehicles, or anything else with us. Its just who we are that goes anywhere.

SO i suggest what matters, Is the heart and spirit of a person and that hey listen to their faith and live for God on daily basis.

My Journey

Growing up I never was forced to attend church. We did not wake up every Sunday and go to church. My adopted mother did teach me to pray. I can recall several bible being in the house growing up.

When my adopted father retired from the air force we moved to a house on 5 acres in Florida. A few years later we moved to Texas. I started a new school the beginning of 4th grade. That summer a girl from my softball team invited me to a few Vacation Bible Schools. I attended them with her one was a church right down the road form the house. Maybe a Mile away. I continued to attend off and on. Every summer I would go with friends to different churches of different denominations.

During middle school I had talked to the pastor at a one of the churches I had been at regularly about being baptized and we prayed. After he told me I needed a parent to okay since I was under 18. I could not get the signature. During high school one of my teachers was speaking of his Sunday school class to a fellow teacher. I over heard. Outside of school I asked him what church he went to. I went one weekend and continued. July 29, 2001 I was baptized and became a member of Fairview Baptist Church In Grand Prairie, Texas by Pastor Dr. Howard Daniels. A few friends where there. Two of the youth groups leaders where there and came up after service and stood with me as the congregation congratulated me.  From that day I can honestly say my outlook changed. No earthly reason. I am still not perfect. I had things occur that keep me from church from 2008-2010 when I moved form Texas. I still studied the bible and attended different churches. I had found a church in Louisiana that I may have joined if I had not relocated to Florida. I will tell you I am not one to rush decisions like this. However after a few weeks of praying about it I got an answer. I have a church home in Florida. One where I feel I am surrounded by Men and Women of God who dont pass judgement on the clothes you where or your accessories rather inked on or not. Come as you are and worship the ONE TRUE LORD. A pastor who is down to earth, who is caring and has his life's focus on GOD.

This is the shortened version, of how I found what was missing in my life. My life is better today then it was on July 28, 2001. I have a friend I know day or night I can ask for help on anything. Who will walk with me showing me the way if I acknowledge his love.
